JJ: Welcome to Inside the Porn. It's a pleasure and I'm excited to have you with us today.
What got you into the industry?
Rosie: I owned a gym but I developed anxiety and I sold the gym. I ended up having a boob job which gave me more confidence and I saw a documentary about English cam girls, I knew it'd be a lot of work, I signed up to a small site and it was a bit of a nightmare at first, my first show was a nude bath show and I made $25, I then moved over to MyFreeCams and I never looked back. I was vanilla but then I got into this and I just felt connected to people.
JJ: Sounds like you found what was missing in your life with the camming community. It's great when that happens.
What's the best thing about the industry?
Rosie: Hmmm that's a tough question. It's possibly the community. I had a rough start in the industry but in the last 6 months I've come to meet and know so many amazing people and they've given me a greater appreciation of this industry. These people are some of the smartest and most creative women I know.
JJ: It sounds like you all support each other through thick and thin which is why the cam industry is booming at the moment.
What's the worst thing about the industry?
Rosie: Some people want to stomp all over other performers to help themselves get ahead, but self doubt is probably the worst thing in all honesty.
JJ: Well if it helps don't go getting self doubt as you're an amazing woman and as gorgeous as they come.
What's the funniest thing to happen to you whilst working?
Rosie: The funniest thing is probably the strange things people want to tip for like covering myself in green paint and wearing a hulk mask, tipping beetroot all over myself or doing a cum show in an inflatable T Rex costume haha.
JJ: I have to say I've seen some very crazy things in some cam rooms but they are right up there with the craziest.
What are you up to workwise at the moment?
Rosie: I'm doing camming, attending expos, myfreecams.com and I'm wanting to move into porn. But I want to make smart choices and know myself better before I do.
JJ: That's a very smart thing to do. Take your time and don't rush in.
Where the best place for people to find you online?
Rosie: You can find me on Twitter @dailyrosierenee and MFC https://mfc.im/RosieRenee
JJ: Hopefully everybody reading this will go and follow you.
What's the best thing about sex?
Rosie: The best thing is the emotional connection. Random hookups do nothing for me. I like that passion, that attraction. I wish there was more genuine passion in porn.
JJ: What really turns you on?
Rosie: Hmmm in real life? I don't have sex very often but I love lesbian porn it really turns me on when I'm alone. I guess I love a guy that knows how to take control though.
JJ: I'm keeping that in mind haha.
The question I love most of all now, what's your favourite film?
Rosie: My favourite film is is Big Fat Liar. A random one. It I love it. My favourite TV show though is Wentworth. It's a bit like Orange is the New Black.
JJ: I've not seen Big Fat Liar in years but it was funny from what I remember. Wentworth is great and is a follow on from Prisoner Cell Block H which the UK and Australian readers should remember I hope haha.
Where would you like to travel to if you could?
Rosie: I'd love to go to the United States and attend the AVNs. I'd love to go somewhere that has overwater villas. I'm also obsessed with Norfolk Island. It's self governed and so beautiful. Just a tiny little island in the middle of the ocean.
JJ: Norfolk Island sounds amazing. I'll let you take me sometime soon haha.
Tell me one thing about yourself I wouldn't know just by looking at you?
Rosie: I have 4 dogs and I've had dogs for around the last 5 years. I'm a dog person as I'm allergic to cats.
JJ: I love dogs but I haven't had a dog for a long time now.
What's been your biggest achievement in life or work so far?
Rosie: My biggest achievement before I started camming was opening the gym I owned. I built it up from scratch and I ran the whole thing by myself. It was such a big thing and something I was very proud of.
JJ: You should be very proud because you decided to do something and not only did you do that you were also successful at it which is amazing.
What's been the hardest thing you've had to overcome?
Rosie: Depression and anxiety have been difficult for me. I came into camming during that period of my life and it's only recently that I found the root of that depression and anxiety. I can't emphasise enough just how important it is to take care of your mental health.
JJ: To figure out what has been causing your issues is a big deal and you have done amazingly to succeed in this industry whilst having such a tough time Hun.
What's the nicest thing a fan has ever done for you?
Rosie: I've had so many nice things. When my dog got a tick people helped me pay for the vet bills for my dog and the last few months have been a struggle and people have been tipping me even I've not been working. It's so touching to have their support. For example I once lost my debit card and phone and one of my members paid for everything for me just because he was lovely with no expectations of anything in return.
JJ: It shows what a connection you have with your fans. People truly care about you and want to make sure you're ok.
What would you be doing if you weren't in the industry?
Rosie: If I wasn't in the industry I'd probably go to university and do a psychology degree.
JJ: I think that's something you'd be exceptionally good at if I'm honest. You have such an amazing way about you.
What's one bit of advice you'd give to someone getting into the industry?
Rosie: Do a lot of research. Watch other girls and see what they do to keep conversation flowing. Get a grasp of what you're comfortable with, be personable and make sure you put your hours in.
JJ: Finally, what's the weirdest rumour you've heard about yourself?
Rosie: I once heard a rumour that I'd made another girl shit herself during a girl girl show which wasn't true haha.
JJ: Of all the crazy rumours someone could start that's got to be one of the weirdest rumours I've heard.
Thank you so much for being with me today, you've been a bright spot of my year. I look forward to seeing the next evolution in your career that's for sure.
