JJ: Welcome to Inside the Porn. It's a pleasure to have you with us. 

What got you into the adult industry?

Raven: It all started from boredom believe it or not.  I had successfully transitioned and I was out to all me family and friends.  For me that was a very exciting point in me life.  But once I was fully out, that high was fading, and I was a bit addicted to it.  I started looking for another high to replace the one I was losing.  Kimber Haven(@Kimberhaven) saw that I was in a funk and at first she suggested that I start dancing at the Lexington Tgirl Party hosted by the legendary Wendy Williams(TsWendyWilliams), which I did.  That was fun but I was looking for more.  So Kimber approached me about doing some porn.  Kimber showed me how to set up my website and actually filmed my very first movie I ever shot, a solo masterbation scene.  

JJ: Well porn will certainly give you that high. It's great you have such good friends who know how to help you. 

What's the best thing about the industry?

I would have to say without a doubt the people you meet and the places you go.  So far I've been to the AVN's and Fetish Con last year and I'm getting ready to head to Las Vegas for The AVN's in a few days again.  Those two venues are places for I have made so many lifelong friends and have so many amazing memories.  There is so much I love about the industry but I feel that tops it all.

 

JJ: What's the worst thing about the industry? 

Raven: Y'all are going to laugh but for me personally, it's this.  I take my time on makeup and wardrobe to look as amazing as I can.  Then 5 minutes after the shoot starts, I'm naked, and my makeup is all messed up.  I liken it to an ice sculpture that the sculpture spends hours making look beautiful just for it to melt a short time later.  In both instances it's always worth it in the end.  Damn I spend a lot of money on makeup that I leave on pillows and dicks though.  

JJ: I think that the effort you go through is greatly appreciated by all. 

What's the funniest thing to happen whilst working?

Raven: Hmmm, so many to choose from.  I'd have to say it was when we were filming a mockumentary for Sexpose'.  I had to "act" like I was sore from taking a giant dildo the day before.  I came walking out looking like a cross between I shit my pants and I had received 5 lashes with a cane.  Everyone lost it.  We had to film that one 3 or 4 times before it was completed without someone laughing.  

JJ: Hahaha that's so funny. I bet it was a riot to be there. 

 
What are you doing now work wise?

Raven: Right now I'm trying to build content for my website and the Badgirl Maffia brand(@bad_girlmaffia).  I'm excited to be filming with Julie Rocket(@_Julie_Rocket_) and Thor Johnson(@thorjohnsonxxx), and doing a solo shoot for Wendy Williams while in Las Vegas.  I also have an upcoming bondage shoot with the sexy dom female Lexis Steel(@lexis_steel).  We have begun filming Badgirl Maffias second full length movie The T-Team.  It's an A-Team spoof, and OMG is it going to be good.  I have a few other things in the works but I'd rather not comment as they aren't yet set in stone.

JJ: What's the best thing about sex?

Whats your favourite holiday destination?

Raven: I love the beach.  I'd have to say anywhere on the Gulf of Mexico.  Out of places I've actually vacationed before, I'd have to say Orange Beach, Alabama.  It's beautiful in that area and the white sand beaches are something you don't see very often.  

JJ: I do like a good beach holiday but I don't seem to take too many of them. 

 
Tell me one thing about yourself that people would never know by looking at you?

Raven: Easy, I'm a huge car buff.  I recently did a photoshoot with my muscle car.  I've actually had people tell me that they didn't believe it was really my car.  I love cars, I love racing.  I did before, and I still do.  To me there is nothing sexier than a set of nice legs poking out from underneath a sports car, or perfectly manicured nails dirtied by grease and oil.  

JJ: I wouldn't have guessed you're a big car buff. I'm not that good with cars if I'm honest. 

What's been your biggest achievement in life or work? 

Raven: Believe it or not, I transitioned later in life.  I started hormones at 38 and went to living full time as a woman in 2015 at 40 years old.  I used to weigh 215lbs(I'm 150lbs now).  Working out was my way of overcompensating.  So I'm amazed how well my body reacted to hormones at the age I started them.  Now, I've put a lot of work in to help aid the process, but all in all I'm very proud of how far I've come.  

JJ: Wow that is a massive achievement. You must be ecstatic to have come so far. 

 
What's the most challenging thing you've overcome? 

Raven: Without a doubt my phobia of other people's bodily fluids.  I know funny right?  A transsexual porn actress who had a fear of body fluids.  I assure you it's totally true.  It was so bad I didn't even like kissing other people because their spit would get into my mouth.  It was partly due to OCD.  But I'm glad to say I've overcome my fear and regularly suck dick and take loads in my mouth, haha. 

JJ: A must have skill by any standards. I'm sure people are glad you got over that phobia haha. 

What's the best thing a fan has ever done for you? 

Raven: This just happened recently.  A fan knew I loved vodka and Redbull and that I was going on a trip soon.  So for my birthday he gave me a bottle of Grey Goose, a case of Redbull, and $400 for my trip.  He also gave me $200 for botox because I had mentioned I wanted it.

What's one bit of advice for anyone wanting to get into the adult industry? 

Raven: Surround yourself with positive role models.  I have surrounded myself with people like Wendy Williams and Kimber Haven.  Wendy has been there, done that, and is still rocking it.  Kimber is so driven and honest that if I look like shit, she tells me.  There's a reason they are here.  They are a wealth of knowledge, and sometimes can give you a boost to your career.     

JJ: That's very important advice. You've been very lucky to find people who support you and tell you what you need to hear. 

What do you think you'll do if you leave the industry? 

Raven: I'd probably just go back to a semi vanilla lifestyle and be bored.  Spend more time on my muscle car, modifying it and maybe even race it a bit again.  

JJ: Well we can't have you going back to being bored that's for sure. 

 
Finally, What's the weirdest rumour you've heard about yourself?

Raven: I actually had someone come up to me at a Lexington Tgirl party and ask me if I was a genetic female.  Someone had told this person I was.  Probably because I'm a grower not a shower, and my package is hard to spot even if I'm not trying to hide it.
